When we showed Granger Housing Authority we could partner to take residents to Texas State Parks, they said, “Let’s do it!”

The joy and excitement of the first adventure convinced us we need to bring more public housing authorities into the wilds.

Boating, fishing, bird watching and more at Texas State Parks.

Thanks to a CO-OP grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Granger Housing Authority residents are traveling to state parks and learning new skills.

For many, it’s their first time visiting a Texas State Park.

Residents help plan trips with us, building skills for future family outings.

Through firsthand memorable adventures, residents will be strong advocates for Texas State Parks.
